Transportation

To give Caregivers the option of taking public transportation, Family & Nursing Care will provide a shuttle bus from the Shady Grove Metro Station to Smokey Glen Farm from 3:30 PM - 6:00 PM. The shuttle will transport Caregivers back to the Shady Grove Metro Station throughout the picnic whenever the shuttle is back at Smokey Glen Farm and once more when the picnic ends at 7 pm. More details about shuttle transportation will be provided to Caregivers who let us know below that they plan to take the shuttle.

Children

While the picnic is exclusively for Caregivers, we know that some Caregivers will need to bring their children who require their adult supervision (generally age 12 and younger) with them in order to be able to attend the picnic. If you plan to bring children who require your adult supervision, you must let us know below so that we can plan properly.

Clients

While the picnic is for Caregivers, we know that some Caregivers will want to bring clients. Please let us know if you will be bringing a client with you. Please keep in mind that the picnic is fully outdoors with only picnic tables for seating. Especially in the hot summer weather, it may not be appropriate for clients to attend.
