Originally from Liberia, Rosalyn is known for her calm, attentive nature and ability to make clients feel truly seen and valued. Her favorite part of caregiving is simple yet powerful — holding a client’s hand, listening, and showing genuine compassion. She always respects her clients’ preferences, from what they wear to what they eat, helping them feel in control and cared for in every moment.
One of Rosalyn’s most memorable experiences was with a terminally ill client who passed away while in her care. She said their bond was so strong that it felt like losing a parent. Another client, who primarily prefers Rosalyn’s care, tells her daily how impactful she is and doesn’t want her to leave.
Rosalyn’s advice to fellow caregivers is to be patient, compassionate, careful, and kind. She also says it’s important to always remember that one day, you may be in your clients’ shoes.
When she’s not providing care, Rosalyn enjoys doing puzzles, singing, eating nutritious meals, and praying. She finds joy in serving the older adult community, knowing that the love she gives today is the love she hopes to receive in the future.
