2025 Caregiver Appreciation Picnic – Shady Grove Metro Shuttle Information

Instructions for Using the Shady Grove Metro Station Picnic Shuttle

• Take the Red Line to the Shady Grove Metro Station
  • See station information from WMATA here.

• When you arrive at the station, call the shuttle bus driver
  • Driver’s Name: Ali
  • Driver’s Phone Number: 240-474-7533

• The driver will tell you where to meet him outside of the station
  • Please Note:  IMPORTANT – The driver will be driving between the Shady Grove Metro Station and Smokey Glen Farm to transport Caregivers throughout the Caregiver Appreciation Picnic. The driver may be on his way to or from Smokey Glen Farm when you call. If the driver is not at the Shady Grove Metro Station, he will let you know approximately how long you will need to wait for him to return to the station. Please be patient.

•  Meet the driver at the designated location (as per driver’s instructions)
  • Look for the free shuttle bus (photo below)
  • The shuttle bus will have a sign on the outside of it that says

Shuttle to Smokey Glen Farm
for Family & Nursing Care Caregivers

• Please note the following times:
  • Shuttle will begin picking up Caregivers at the Shady Grove Metro Station at 3:30 PM.

• • Driver will transport Caregivers to and from Smokey Glen Farm throughout the picnic (You must call the driver, Ali, at 240-474-7533 to let him know if you need to be picked up at the Shady Grove Metro Station or Smokey Glen Farm.

• • Last transport from Shady Grove Metro Station to Smokey Glen Farm will be at 6:00 PM

• • Last Departure from Smokey Glen Farm to the Shady Grove Metro Station will be at 7:00 PM
