What: Caregiver Appreciation Picnic
Where: Smokey Glen Farm Pavilion Area – 16407 Riffleford Road, Gaithersburg, MD 20878
When: Wednesday, June 11, 4 PM – 7 PM
Why: Because we want to celebrate you!

  • The picnic starts at 4 PM and ends at 7 PM – come for all or part of the time!
  • A full buffet dinner will be served
  • Every Caregiver that comes will receive a small gift
  • You can drive and park at Smokey Glen Farm or take public transportation (with a free shuttle) to get there. See “How to Get There” below for more details
  • You’ll be greeted by Family & Nursing Care staff and have a chance to say hello to them and your fellow Caregivers
  • There will be music, mini-golf, a photo booth, games, cash raffles, and more surprises in store for you!
  • Family & Nursing Care Caregivers
    • Please remember to bring your Family & Nursing Care ID badge with you to the picnic so that our registration desk can easily check you in.
  • Young children of Caregivers who require adult supervision (generally under age 12). In order to bring your young children, you must have indicated that you were bringing children on your reply form.

The Caregiver Appreciation Picnic is ONLY for Caregivers that are affiliated with Family & Nursing Care. Please do not bring children over age 12 or other adults to the picnic.

If you plan to drive to Smokey Glen Farm:

  • Smokey Glen Farm is located at 16407 Riffle Ford Road.
  • The Caregiver Appreciation Picnic will take place in the Pavilion Area of the farm.

  • When you get to Riffle Ford Road follow the signs for the Pavilion Area. You will see “Family & Nursing Care” listed on the Pavilion Area signs.
  • You can park in any open space on the grassy parking areas. Plenty of parking is available.

  • The Caregiver Appreciation Picnic is mainly outdoors with some sheltered areas available.
  • It is likely to be HOT – so come prepared by wearing light, comfortable clothes and shoes, and use a sun hat and/or sunscreen for sun protection.
